Christmas Morning

Christmas morning came early. Very early. Our kiddos are early risers (typical day it's around 6 am), so I wasn't surprised that Matteo was the first one up at 5:30. Here he is enjoying his breakfast.

When Sebastian woke up, they were ready to start opening. Matteo says "asna" for abre (open) in Spanish, so he just says, "asna, asna, asna!"

Up much too early, but excited. =)

Oooo...an electric toothbrush for Matteo, just like his brother's that he always tries to steal.

Anything Sebastian opened, Matteo wanted. Sebastian opened these matchbox cars from his stocking and even though we kept trying to get Matteo to open his IDENTICAL package of matchbox cars, he wanted his brothers. So the fight began...

But I want THESE!!!

And Matteo wins the battle. But only because we told Sebastian he could open another present that had more cars. The one that was supposed to be for Matteo. Oooiiii.....

He looks sleepy, but he was happy with his victory.

The boys had gummy bears...

...and Cheetos for breakfast. Yum! Two of their favorite, special treats.

Matteo loved his new Biscuit book.

Sebastian was excited to get his new helmet. Now we just have to buy him a big bike! He zips around on his tricycle really fast!

But I want to open YOUR present....even though his very cool present we know he will love is right next to him....

Finally convinced him to open it. (A hopping ball)

And the tables turn! Now Sebastian wants Matteo's present!

So Matteo picks it up and runs away with it. Smarty.

And spends a large part of the morning hugging his new, giant ball.

Opening a special present from Uncle Ken and Aunt Becky in Michigan. Our family is so good to us!

So cool! It's a big piano!

Sebastian had fun figuring out how it worked.

And they both loved running around on it.

After playing for a while, they watched Christmas Barney. Matteo loves it. But he only sits still like this for maybe 3 minutes. Then the calm movie watching usually turns to....

...something more like this! =) They are such great buddies. God help us if we are adding another little boy to the mix here in May!!!! Sure to be fun times at our house!

Christmas EVE!

After spending the morning with Daniel and family, we headed to Mass with my parents. We had to get there early to get a seat, but the boys did great. They looked super handsome, despite the battle it took to dress them (mostly Sebastian, but Matteo didn't love it either.)

Just us. Aww. =)

The boys with the Nativity. Yes, I need to get Sebastian some black socks (especially before Uncle Corey's wedding). And he would not wear a dress shirt, so he wore a t-shirt under his suit jacket....geesh.

Dressy family photo on Christmas Eve!

Matteo found this partially opened gift and had to rip the rest of it open. BALLS!!!! =)

He was a happy boy.

Opening a big gift (shopping cart full of more balls!)

Ripping open another one!

Matteo LOVES his Weebles!

Car launcher for Sebastian. What a face!

The aftermath on Christmas Eve, with two busy boys too busy to smile for a picture. =)

Sebastian enjoying puzzles with Lita.

Matteo loved the car launcher too.

Time for Noche Buena Dinner!

Everything turned out delicious! I have to brag - my Pernil (roast pork) was wonderful as was my arroz con gandules. Yummy! Potato salad, pasteles and rolls rounded out our feast.

Matteo playing peek-a-boo as we finished eating.

What a cutie.

After dinner, boys wore their new jammies and played some more.

Then it was SHOWTIME! Sebastian had been working on some songs and some special gifts for the family and they had a blast performing.

Matteo sang too...

Then it was time for the guitar and more instruments and dancing. Boy did they like all the festivities!

Matteo was fading fast, but he couldn't help but clap even while he nursed. He didn't want to miss anything. So cute!

Our "Happy Birthday, Jesus" cake!

Kids were very excited, we sang several times.

Eating cake and more singing!

And the Puerto Rico clan came through on Skype so Sebastian was one happy kiddo since he got to talk to Angelica on the computer. What a wonderful Christmas Eve! More to come!

Christmas Eve Day

A few days before Christmas, the boys received some special mail from the North Pole, just for them! They loved the snowman stamps on the envelopes.

Sebastian loved reading his letter.

And Matteo liked the pictures on his.

Daddy with his boys.

Christmas Eve day as we waited for my parents and brother and his family to arrive, Sebastian enjoyed doing his Nativity floor puzzle. He has gotten so good at doing it all on his own!

The boys, ready to open presents!

Starting the gift opening. Both boys were really into opening gifts this year. Matteo took his time, whereas Sebastian wanted to move on to the next present.

Sebastian enjoyed his airport landing strip.

And Cootie game.

Logan loved his slinky dog!

It was a hit!

Mami opening a present! A new maternity shirt. =)

We all played outside for a while to burn some energy.

Picture with the grand kids was not so easy to get....this was our best shot. Better luck next year!

Giammarinaro family.

Feliz Navidad from the Silva/Giammarinaro's! We had a great day and were glad to be able to all be together.
