Here are lots of recent photos from our travels. Sebastian has been to two weddings and an airplane ride since I last posted! He was an angel at all of them! Also, he has started to coo more and have more "baby talk" and this morning, while Paul and I both were playing with him on the floor he rolled over! I'll type more updates later, but enjoy the pics for now.

Baptism Day - June 24, 2007 @ St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Orlando, FL

Sorry these pictures are a week old, but it's so hard to find time to do these things! We had a pretty good week, although Sebastian was pretty fussy during the day. He must be growing. =) But it was also exciting because he's started to smile more and make more cooing noises too. I keep trying to capture his perfect little smile in a photo, but I am still not fast enough. As soon as I get a good one I'll post it to the blog. This weekend we will be taking our first little roadtrip with Sebastian to our friend's wedding in Tampa. He'll also get to meet some of our college friends, Donelle and Tiffany. Hopefully he will be happy in the car and not cry the whole trip there! Enjoy the pics.

Our little guy is a month old! Wow! We are all doing great. Paul is back at work and I am at home with Sebastian on my own. It's been quite the adventure! Luckily, we are working at getting our routines of playtime on the floor, music time, story time, etc. Naps and feedings occur whenever he feels like it. =) I ventured out on my own with him to Target last week and we did great - but of course he was asleep the whole time. I'm not too sure how well we'd do if he was awake. I don't think I'll tackle that one just yet. This Sunday is his baptism, so keep us in your prayers!

Sebastian and Paul watched their first launch up close from my Dad's apartment last Friday. It was a beautiful day for the launch. Of course Sebastian slept the whole time, and woke up right as it was all over. Oh well. We can tell him he was there.

Whenever we do have to supplement Sebastian with a bottle, he likes to try to hold on to it on his own already. He is an independent little one!

On Paul's first father's day, they wore matching polo shirts and khaki pants. My boys looked so handsome! Everyone at church was enthralled with their look.

Jackson and Sebastian -3 months apart.

Three weeks! Sebastian is still a bit congested, but better overall. Our pediatrician appointment went very well and he weighed a whopping 8 lbs 9 oz! I was so relieved. I am such a proponent of breastfeeding, but it is stressful, especially since he was losing weight in the beginning. You want to make sure he is getting enough to eat! So it was a huge relief when the doctor gave us the all clear and said he'd see us at 2 months. We are rarely using formula anymore and Sebastian seems to be just fine with that. He has been much more awake the past few days during the day time. It's been fun because he will lay on his playmat and look at all his fun little toys.

Next week Paul will be going back to work at the office so it'll be quite the adjustment for me to be one-on-one with Sebastian. I've been trying to do most of it on my own the past week during the day, but it's just so nice to be able to pass Sebastian to Daddy so I can go to the bathroom or eat with two hands instead of one. I'm not too good at the one handed eating yet - I dropped strawberries on him the other day - poor kid. =) Anyhow, so next week will be another new milestone. My mom will still come by during the day to help out so at least I'll get a few hours of break to sleep, clean up or run errands.

Tonight we are going to try to head to Titusville so that Sebastian can see his first shuttle launch. The Atlantis is supposed to go up tonight and Nathan and Jackson are going to join us too. Should be fun and memorable! I'll post pictures if we get any good ones. More later!

Sebastian will be two weeks old tomorrow! Wow! Time is already flying by (wow, I sound like such a mom)! Sebastian now loves to eat and is waking up every couple of hours to fill his tummy. We are still working hard to make sure he gains weight so hopefully we don't have to supplement with formula. He has a little bit of a cold which has made him fussy, but overall he is doing great. He is starting to look at things a bit more intensely, especially if they light up. It's very cute to watch his little eyes following things! I had my follow up doctor appointment and he has given me the all clear - my infection has cleared up and all should be fine now! Thank you for your many prayers! It was a bit stressful for me not feeling well and taking care of Sebastian, so I am very relieved that everything is fine now. Some memorable moments of our first two week of parenting:

- Paul has already learned the hard way what the many washcloths are for on our changing table. Sebastian has dedicated these special showers just for daddy.
- It's weird how excited you get when the pruney part of his umbilical cord falls off.
- We never knew you could be so tired yet so functional at the same time. God definitely gives you this gift with parenthood.
- Bath time is a two person operation - and we should also remember to shut the plug in the bottom of the tub before we start.
- To get back at us for not liking his baths, Sebastian likes to use his bath towels as a diaper. After he is all clean and fresh we hear the sound of poo.... not once, but twice. Now we act a bit faster and don't mull over how cute he looks wrapped up in his towel.
- Somehow he knows exactly when we sit down to a meal because it doesn't fail that at that moment he either wakes up if he's sleeping or will cry to be picked up if he is awake. Mommy is getting very good at eating one handed as long as Paul cuts my food for me. =)

That's all I can think of for now - my tired brain doesn't have much attention span for writing quite yet. Enjoy the pictures!

For those that don't know this story, Jennifer started working with me at Book Fairs in October right when we both found out we were pregnant. She was due two weeks after me. Throughout the ensuing six months, we shared an office and shared everyday of our pregnancy together. We have become amazing friends after sharing such a unique experience. And now, it turns out our little boys are only 8 days apart. We went to go visit Jen and Finn in the hospital on Memorial Day and the boys ate together (from the office to breastfeeding - quite the change!) and posed for pictures for the proud parents. We can't wait to get them together soon and then for us mommies to start working off that baby weight!
