First Days of Summer

So the school year is done and I officially have a 1st grader and VPKer. Yay! We are excited about all the fun things that this summer will bring.  We shopped at SAM's this morning because I'm going to need lots of food to keep these guys happy. Then we had friends over and played outside for hours. Had popsicles of course too!  Rounded out the day doing random things like making a yarn maze, water colors, bikes (Sebastian will learn to ride this summer!), laundry and a visit to The Joint. My kids love it when I go there and it's always hilarious to hear them ask when we are going to The Joint (my chiropractor).

Camping!

The first weekend in April we went "camping" at Disney's Fort Wilderness. I say "camping" because I think we have successfully ruined any chance of our children ever enjoying actual, real camping - because "camping" at Disney is well....you'll see! But regardless, we all had a great time. Here's a view of the Camper and the kids riding bikes all around our site.

We brought a little play tent for the kids to hang out in and have snacks.

Matteo had a blast in his first swimming pool experience of the season. He loved it!

Sebastian was almost a little too confident at times. I think we will be looking into swimming lessons for this summer!

Primos!

In the evenings they have a big campfire and sing along, followed by a showing on a big screen of a Disney movie. The kids were excited to see the campfire.

Giving Chip a high-five. Not too sure about this, but....there he was.

There were several great, shady playgrounds and the weather was perfect. Such a nice time to play outside!

Matteo enjoyed watching the boats from the dock.

We rode the boat for fun several times.

Titi, Abuela and Mama.

Daniel and family came to spend the day on Saturday.

Here I am at 34 weeks!

Logan loved pushing Matteo around on his tricycle. Matteo did not love it so much. He is very leery of mobile people that are smaller than he is (ie - babies) of any kind. Things are going to be interesting around our house soon!

Matteo's "please rescue me from this crazy cousin" face.

Matteo loves cake! Lelo was making him work for it.

In the morning, they sat in the front and watched Dora on the mini-DVD player.

Riding the bus was by far the FAVORITE activity while camping. Sebastian is looking so big! Can't believe he will be four in just one more month!

Our family!

This swim noodle animal got everyone lots of laughs during the weekend. He kept showing up peeking in the Camper's windows and surprising the kids.

Matteo discovered it was fun to pop Daddy's bubble gum bubbles.

Abuela with some of the great-grand kids.

At the Fort Wilderness Lodge.

It was a fun and relaxing last "trip" of sorts before we welcome baby!

Just around....

Abu and Sebastian take a break from playing to look at a family photo album.

"I have arrived - the world is mine!" Matteo thinks he owns the place (Gymboree) sometimes! So funny!

Zonked out after playing all day.

These play "Waffle Blocks" have finally resurfaced! They were hiding in my Dad's hanger - we never thought to ask him and just thought they had gotten lost somewhere! I had been wanting them for a while because I thought the kids would get a kick out of them. My Tio Mauricio gave them to me when I was three so I knew they'd be a hit. Sure enough! Hours of fun!

Sebastian in an airplane.

Having lunch at a "restaurant." I especially loved this set up because they were completely contained while they ate their food!

We have been wanting to get Sebastian a real bike for a while and finally, Titi Monica came across one that seemed just right (at least for a few more months!) at a garage sale for $5! Deal! Sebastian was SOOOO excited and did wonderfully!

On his first bike ride! Note Matteo in the background as we try to teach him to master the tricycle.

Uh-oh....first fall! Just a small scrape, but it took a lot of talking and explaining that this bike riding business is going to take some practice!

Matteo concentrating....

We recently had a family photo shoot a a local park with a new photographer. We haven't seen the photos yet, but I will be sure to link/post to them once she has them ready. The boys looked adorable in their matching outfits, which they will also wear for Easter. Can't wait to see how they turn out!

My big boy - almost four! Time flies!

New backsplash and other fun thing

Merry Christmas to us! Paul and his dad completed the kitchen backsplash last week, just in time for our New Year's Party. I LOVE it - what a difference it makes! Now I get to see this beautiful background every time I cook.

Long view - we did the whole length of the counter.

And this is what the hard workers did when they were done. =)

The boys had so much fun playing in the hammock the other day. Adorable. My new favorite picture of both of them together.

True smiles.

Sebastian pushing Mami in the hammock.

Teo being silly with his brother's glasses.

Playing with Papa.

Matteo loves playing with Papa's phone! They even called Nana in the next room.

Smiles!

After more than 3 years since our last reunion, it was great to meet up with Lauren (my childhood best friend) and her boyfriend Brian. She got to meet the kids (last time I saw her I was pregnant with Sebastian) and we had a nice time catching up.

Like so many other pictures of us throughout the years!

I also got to meet up with another childhood friend, Melody and meet her two adorable boys. They all played and we got to catch up too. So nice to reconnect with old friends!

The boys sharing a snack.

Sometimes, everyone just wants Mami. Although lately everyone REALLY wants Daddy, which is a nice change! Three should be interesting!

I think we need to get Matteo a helmet too for when he wants to ride the tricycle. He is always putting on his brother's new helmet.

Even though it was really, really cold, Sebastian wanted to go outside and ride his new scooter.

He did really good with it right away. Although about 3 houses down, he said his hands were too cold and he wanted to go back inside. =) Ah, Florida children!
