More Easter and Anniversaries!

My friend Evie gave me this great idea to make an Easter Egg garland to help the kids count the days of Easter. We had a lot of fun stringing the pipe cleaners through the eggs and then sorting them by colors.

Both boys helped string them onto the ribbon.

Matteo had to help too!

Our finished Easter Countdown. Each egg is numbered and everyday we open the egg for a special Easter treat!

Sebastian loves to ask if "the baby is moving or if he/she's just hanging out" and feel my tummy. It's so sweet. He is VERY excited to meet this new little one.

Matteo snoozing with a cute Albert we found at the store. That's my Gator boy!

We went out for an early 40th Anniversary celebration dinner for my in-laws last weekend.

Sebastian loved wearing Papa's hat!

38 weeks and 5 days
Come on baby!!!

January/February Update

Since I have been slow on the updating, I am trying to play catch up. Here are some other random pictures from late January through early February.

Matteo is having a ball lately at Gymboree. He LOVES it!

In the big rolling ball.

Playing with the whiffle balls - one of his favorite things. I have these at home but he could care less about them. Go figure!

So serious coming out of the tunnel!

Bye, bye Gymbo!

This is what happens when I try to put away laundry. My little "helpers" end up throwing their clothes on the bottom bed and then taking all the clothes out of their dresser to add to the mountain. They have great fun doing it, so I don't usually stop it. Cleaning it all up and putting it back away always kills more time so....whatever! Oh, motherhood....

He was REALLY tired. He doesn't usually nap, but I found him asleep in the chair like this one day.

Excited for pajama day at school.

My stubborn toddler that refused to fall asleep. I was the stubborn Mami who knew he needed a nap. He eventually fell asleep on the floor. He was not going to sleep in his bed!!!! Stubborn kiddo....

Twister has been very popular at our house lately. And a great game since I am working on colors with Matteo!

Brother love!

New Mickey shirts.

Celebrating Nana's birthday.

Reading books with Daddy. Matteo will finally willingly sit still to read a book! Yay!

I just thought this was funny. It was Spirit Night at our local Chick-fil-a for Sebastian's school. The parking lot was FULL of Honda mini-vans. =)

Extended Vacation in Orlando

Soooo....here is the big drama that has kept me from blogging... It's a bit embarrassing, but I guess it's just a part of living near water and in Florida. We went on a 10 day vacation to North Carolina. We of course, left the house very clean and all wiped down, etc so it would be nice to come home. Well, it was not very nice when we got home. Turns out that we had a little visitor during the time we were gone. A rat. Yes, gross, a rat. It was a mess. Most of our food in the pantry had to be thrown out and of course because of the sanitary concerns, we just could not stay there with the kids. So off to my mom's we went. It took us 10 days to catch that little bugger and another 2 weeks to be sure that was it before we were able to go back. Then EVERYTHING - every dish, cup, toy, surface, floor, etc had to be cleaned. So it took a lot of work to even get to the point where we could come home. Finally, we got back in the house the day before Halloween. The boys just felt like they were on a long vacation I think - they had a ball playing with Lita all day, I loved getting naps every afternoon and Nana and Papa had fun seeing us every weekend. But we are just so glad to be back home!

Here are some pictures of the boys having fun during the month we lived at my Mama's.

Sebastian's train.

Lots of art projects.

Stamps.

Bath time with Lelo.

Playing with Aca in the hammock.

Teo being silly with Mami's headband.

Teo happy, Tat-tat not so much.

They loved playing with the old school view-finder. Too funny!

Making cookies with Nana and Tyler.

With lots and lots of sprinkles of course!

Orlando Weekend

So tomorrow (Tuesday) is Sebastian's first day of preschool! He is so excited and I am so excited too! It's hard to believe that we are already at this point in our parenthood journey. I can't wait to do my next post to let everyone know how it went!

Welcome back to Florida, Nana and Papa!

Papa brought lots of "tic tac cheerios" for the boys. Matteo knew just who to go to for more!

Thursday was Sebastian's "meet the teacher" day. He did great! He was so excited and hung his backpack on his hook with his name on it and walked right in like he owned the place. It was so great to see him so confident and excited.

He started playing with the sorting toys and teasing his teachers Ms. Carolyn and Ms. Kathy by telling them everything that the little fruits were not. He is such a stinker!

Figured I better get this traditional at the door picture early since I'm sure his first day on Tuesday will be pretty busy! His teacher Ms. Carolyn loves frogs. I think that's a good sign since I love frogs too. =)

And here we are being cheesy as we go to our first parent teacher night. I hope this doesn't mean we are getting old. =) It was fun, exciting, overwhelming but overall a happy moment!

This weekend was my future sister-in-law Sarah's wedding shower. It was nice to meet some of her family and friends.

Yay, a cast iron skillet from the Giammarinaro ladies.

Me, Darlene (MIL), Kim (SIL) Sarah's Mom and Sarah

While Mami was at the wedding shower, Paul and Sebastian went to the Home Depot kids workshop and they made this school bus pencil holder. So cute.

We had lunch at Five Guys and Matteo got his first taste of ketchup. He loved it and just kept dipping his french fry in it and licking it off. We are going to have to buy the stuff by the gallon now. Sebastian loves it on everything too. Oh boy!

Cute picture of Sebastian with Lelo and Lita.

Family, Friends, and Fun Times...

This is the last Florida pictures post! Just random, great pictures of enjoying our family and friends. We sure do miss everyone. Thanks for a great vacation!

FAMILY

Nana and Papa with the grand kids.

Silva grandchildren Matteo, Sebastian and Logan. Yay!!

I LOVE this family picture. Here is all of us! We sure are growing!

Sebastian adores his "baby Logan" and was super excited to get to see him and spend time with him. So sweet...

Good bye and night-night picture with Nana and Papa.

Cousin play time! There three are so happy when they are together. Angelica has become such a great helper too and takes great care of her cousins.

At Tyler's birthday party.

I don't know why we get this cheesy face all the time now...

FRIENDS

Sebastian and Finn (Sebastian's 1st friend....you can read the story here) having a snack during our play date. These two had a great time together so we decided to meet up again the following week.

Mowing the lawn...

This is how the cool kids do it...

Cheesy face again....it's starting to look cuter to me...

FUN TIMES

Riding his bike at Nana's with the glasses the garbage truck man gave him. Weird, I know. But he thought it was pretty cool.

Matteo jumping in the bounce house at Angelica's.

Sebastian "driving" the wawa (really the RV, but he calls it a bus). He was completely enthralled with the RV and kept getting in and out, driving it and just had a ball.

Matteo made himself comfortable in the RV too..

The boys got new PJs from Lita that have spaceships on them. Sebastian in really into all things space so he loved them and didn't want to take them off, even during the day. The PJs along with the Space Shuttle Lelo gave him have kept him super happy and "blasting off" all over. Also, if you say 3-2-1 blast off, Matteo will raise his hands and make a blast off noise. It's super funny....

Loves jumping on the trampoline...

At the playground, enjoying the sunshine!
