This July, we had a chance to visit with lots of friends that we don’t see regularly. Here is a summary of our visits!
Thanks to Facebook, I got in touch with a childhood family friend and it turns out we have children of similar ages. They have 3 girls and we have 3 boys. Talk about a crazy get together! When they traveled to Florida to to the Disney thing, they ended up coming over to play and have dinner with us.
Everyone busy playing and keeping track of kids!
The kid line up. So fun! It was great to see them and reconnect after more than 10 years!
We spend a weekend in Gainesville which was so much fun. Here we are, roomies from Rawlings Hall back in 2000 – now we are mommies to a combined 9 children all under 4! Wowsers!!! So great that we still get to keep in touch.
This is the only picture that has most of the kids. None of them were in one place at any time – unless there was food! After a mac and cheese with fruit lunch they headed outside to play.
They had a great time in the water outside with the dads.
Us mommies stayed inside and talked baby stuff! Here are the two newest additions. Well, one is still newer I suppose, but he/she hasn’t joined us yet! So excited for Sarah to experience the craziness of 3 kiddos too! Luca and Aaron are two weeks apart. =)
All the “big” kids loved trying to play with the babies.
We tried to impose some “wind-down” time to see if they would nap, but no such luck. Melt-downs quickly ensued so everyone hit the road hoping for naps. It was a great visit and we can’t wait to see Rosie and the family again.
We also met up with Paul’s friend Julie from high school. It was great to see them and the family too. We both blog about our family adventures and although we have never all spent much time together we feel like we are a part of each other’s lives – especially since our kids are all the same ages as well. We also got to see my friend Melody and her family, but we didn’t take a picture! =( It was great to see them as well.
No Gainesville trip is complete with out a UF campus walking tour. The boys loved trying out these Gator hats.
In front of the J-school. =)
Future Gators? Maybe! We can only hope!!!
The Swamp.
Daddy and the boys.
With Albert and Alberta.
We rounded out our trip with Mass at St. Augustine’s, where Paul and I met. It was pretty surreal to be there as a family of five, when we spent so much of our time there as college students. But so nice to be back – it will always feel like home. =)
(After these pictures I noticed that my camera seemed to have a problem as it was taking blurry/washed out photos. The hunt began for a new camera. I’m sure you’ll be able to tell when I got it a few posts from now…)
