Paul and I both went to Matteo's Christmas party at the school. He did some crafts with Daddy.
Singing Jingle Bells with Mami!
Soooo adorable! Wish I could take credit, but I didn't make them.
Favorite part - snack time!
I hosted the playgroup's Holiday Party - Matteo and Jayna are buddies.
Hard to believe that all these kiddos are almost 3!
Toddler mayhem as they all dive for a book during our book swap.
Luca was all about the wrapping paper.
Sebastian's VPK Christmas Party.
My little Rudolph!
We made acorn ornaments for the teachers and family this year. I knew Sebastian would enjoy making them, but I was really surprised that it was Matteo who loved dipping the acorn tops in the glue and placing them on the ornaments. He was so focused!
Finished product! The back had a picture of them with their teachers. Each was was different since I cut out nativity scenes from old Christmas cards.
They both had fun making a special present for Daddy. Matteo kept eating the kisses though. =)
Four very excited kids ready to make Christmas cookies!!!
We went to see a couple really fantastic light displays around town. This was one of the coolest, homemade decorations we saw!
This street is known as Candy Cane Lane and the entire street participates and they play music through the streets. The kids loved it. Well, not Luca because he doesn't like it if it's too dark, but for the most part he did okay. Hopefully he will enjoy more next year!
Sebastian loved his letter from Santa with his North Pole stamp.
We got a neat chance to celebrate Hanukkah with some close friends. I love that the boys are learning about Jewish traditions too!
During dinner, both babies decided they needed to eat too of course.
Decorating Hanukkah cookies with Jayna and Bubby.
Homemade donuts! DELICIOUS!!!!
No, we didn't buy much for the kids....right.... All the piles were laid out and ready for wrapping. At least it was Dec. 23rd.
We have been staying very busy getting ready for St. Valentine's Day. After making Christmas cards this past December, Sebastian was thrilled when I told him we would be doing some more card making and fun activities. Here is a round-up of all the fun things we have been up to in the last couple weeks that are Valentine's related. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
The boys helped me decorate the chocolate covered pretzels and marshmallow's we made to give as gifts this year.
I think Matteo ate more sprinkles and chocolate than he decorated, but hey, that's okay. And no, I did NOT send out the few that they decorated. Too many licked fingers! =)
Our finished products! They looked so nice!
And of course, I had to save a couple for my amazing husband. =) Sebastian and I had a cute conversation about these. He asked why I made these for Daddy and I told him it was because I loved him. Since we are very much in the "why, why, why" phase, he asked, "Why do you love him." And I turned it back to him and asked him, "Why do you think I love Daddy?" Sebastian replied, "Because he is your Best Friend." So sweet. Even 3-year olds notice the love between their parents, such a good reminder for all of us.
Our card making this year involved markers, stickers, foam appliques and stamps. Oh, my! The boys both have a ball doing crafty things.
We made a heart snowflake banner to hang in the play room. Anything that involves a glue stick equals fun to a toddler and preschooler.
Our "Love one Another" hearts collage.
Snowflake up close.
One of Sebastian's many cards.
We made Valentine's day treats for his preschool party at school. These mini hearts were a big hit! He was pretty proud of them too.
Bigger cupcakes we made for the school party. I am no cake expert, but they had fun making them and I think they turned out pretty cute.
Trying to get a cute Valentine's Day inspired picture. This is the best shot. The rest of them they are either not looking or hitting each other with their balloons.
Mommy's Valentine cheesing for the camera.
My almost 2-year old!
Excited to give his teacher her Valentine's Day gifts. We also made these cute coffee filter flowers. We only ended up making a few because they didn't think they were as much fun to make and Mami ended up doing most of the work. = / Maybe next year we can make more - they were so cute!
We hosted Matteo's playgroup Valentine Party at our house last week too. We had quite the yummy spread, as usual.
Best group shot possible for 7 nearly 2-year olds. This is right before they got to open their Valentine's.
Matteo loved opening up his little cards.
Especially the ones that had lollipops!
When Sebastian came home from his school party he was thrilled to open all his Valentine's too. Everyday he keeps asking if it's still Valentine's Day. I keep telling him yes, but only until Monday. Then I guess we will move on to St. Patrick.
Mami with her boys. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
Oh lazy days of summer....wait - this is what my life is like all year. =) Except really, it's anything but lazy! =)
The boys are both REALLY into the book "Good Night, Gorilla." This is their favorite page in the book. Sebastian loves to read it to Matteo. He's such a good little reader - he must have about 8 books completely memorized!
Sweet brothers.
This week was Matteo's last class at the library summer program. When we walked in they had little party hats (which, duh - none of them would wear!) and cute shakers. So cute!
Dancing with his hula-hoop!
He always had to run up to the front to see the books. He's giving me this smirky smile because I keep ask him to come back and sit down.
Yeah....so not wearing that party hat!
Matteo's first certificate!!
We had a water play date at Julie and Nathan's house last week. Fun times!
This my pool - get my brother out!!! Matteo has learned all he has to do is shriek and we come running to demand answers from his brother. So we are trying to be more fair about this since most of the time, Sebastian hasn't even done anything to him!
Julie with Nathan and Sebastian watching the fish. They were both happy a split second ago.
Our "tent" comes with it's own band and a cook that makes chocolate cake and mac n' cheese over and over. Yummmmmm!
Playing out on our porch. My baby is looking so big! He will be starting preschool in two weeks!
And little not-so-innocent Matteo shoving his brother down the slide...
Don't laugh!
Frog, frog, frog! He loves this outfit!
VIDEO - Matteo says FROG! (Click here if the video does not appear below.)
Snack time. Matteo prefers the big boy table to his high chair most days now for his snack. And Sebastian likes to shake the red pepper shaker on his food.
Sebastian had fun learning how to match up dominoes with his Lita this week. He was proud of his domino train tracks!
