The system. Each day had a labeled tote bag with all of our clothes, pjs, new sippy cup and snacks included. Each morning the day's tote with our bathroom bags goes in the roll-on suitcase along with a few new toys and we are set to go! So far, it's worked great.
At El Nombre De Dios, Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche in St. Augustine, Florida. Sebastian thought it was so fantastic and wanted to visit every cross and see every statue. He especially loved this big cross and went up to it and hugged "chachi" (Jesus in Sebastian speak).
Fittingly, Matteo nursed throughout almost our whole visit to the shrine.
Me with my boys in front of the Chapel of Our Lady of La Leche. This was a very special place that I'd been wanting to visit in gratitude for being able to nurse my two babies. It has a beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary nursing Baby Jesus. I loved it.
Sebastian also really enjoyed the many fountains on the beautiful grounds.
Walking around historic St. Augustine.
In Jacksonville, waiting to eat the much coveted famous Beach Road Chicken Dinner. We were the first ones in the door at 4 pm.
Ummm....!!!! The only fried chicken I will eat.
Matteo gnawing away on his teething toy.
A "rare" and peaceful moment of sleep. We hang this shower curtain to block the sun when we drive. He likes the bright colors too, so it serves a good purpose.
Welcome to Georgia! Initially we said we'd stop at each welcome center to take a picture with the kids. Well, we quickly learned that if they are happy and especially if they are sleeping there is NO WAY we are stopping for ANYTHING - not even food or to pee!!!
Finally made it to Savannah at 8 pm. Both kids were dead tired and in melt down mode as soon as we got to the hotel room and were asleep within 45 minutes. Sebastian took no nap all day, so it was a very long day for us. No room for us in the beds I guess!
Enjoying our early morning walk on River Street in Savannah. It was a beautiful, calm morning and both kids woke up so happy. We had a great breakfast at a little cafe on the river.
Our hotel in the background with the bridge.
Matteo ready for his tour of Savannah! We thought it'd be cool for him so early in the morning, but it was actually pretty warm!
Sebastian playing in the tug boat. He really enjoyed watching all the barges and boats go by on the river this morning.
Our family on River Street.
Sebastian wanting to go UP in the glass elevators at the hotel. This made for great entertainment.
Welcome to South Carolina - or Peaches? =)

Great post! :) First--Beach Road Chicken Dinner! :) We had to go there when we lived in Jax--BUT, I didn't love it so much--Lance did. Secondly--I love the shower curtain idea-you are so creative! :) Glad to hear things are going well so far!
