So Many Picture, So Little Time!

Hello! Well, it has been more than a full week since we arrived in Rochester and so far our adventure has been so much fun! Rochester is beautiful this time of year and there is so much to do to take advantage of the fantastic weather. Enjoy!

Matteo chillin' after our morning walk to Wegmans, a grocery store about a block from our apartment. After the store we like to hang out on the back patio where Sebastian can run around and Matteo and I sit in the shade.

Peek-a-Boo! The complex plants fresh veggies for the residents to take. So neat! Sebastian got a kick out of seeing the tomato plants.

Brothers.

Splashing during bath time.

Mami! You were watching me!?!

Ugh....this is what our dining room looked like on Wednesday when we got our moving boxes. It was a slow and tedious process, but we are actually done emptying boxes. Everything does not have an exact place yet, but everything is at least out and in the right proximity. Organizing everyones things is hard work, especially when Matteo wants only Mami all the time! The timing worked out perfectly though since my Mom arrived the same day as all of our things.

Matteo and Abuelita checking out the beautiful views from our apartment.

Friday we went to Rochester's Strong Museum of Play. It is the second largest children's museum in the country. Everyone said that Sebastian would love it and boy did he ever! We bought a membership since it will be a great activity for me to do with the boys especially when it gets colder. And it's minutes from our house. Here Sebastian is as we arrived in the Sesame Street part of the museum.

Serving up ice cream at the store.

Driving Elmo and Cookie Monster around in a taxi. Sebastian LOVED this part.

Little engine replica in the taxi. This is for my brother's benefit. =)

When he saw the piano he says, "Nana!!!" because he always plays the piano there. He had a great time playing some tunes.
We put together the exersaucer for Matteo the other day. He seems to like it pretty well for short bits of time.

On Saturday we went to the Corn Hill Arts Festival which is supposed to be one of the biggest of the summer. Unfortunately the day went from bad to worse and got totally rained out. We learned to have a poncho on hand with the stroller and here is Sebastian trying not to get too wet. =) And don't worry, I had Matteo in my carrier with an umbrella - he is not under the poncho!

Beautiful homes in this historic neighborhood.

Matteo taking a snooze before we got rained out.

Matteo loves chewing on his fingers these days.

Ummm! Whatever he can get into his mouth.

Playtime!

Sunday was a beautiful day - 70's sunshine. We went to this fantastic park for Sebastian to play and have a picnic.

Getting ready to slide down the tunnel.

Daddy and Tat-tat in the slide!

Having lunch.

Happy face after coming down the slide.

The boys riding on Mami's lap. Everyone wants Mami, Mami, Mami! The joys of parenthood. =)
As you can see, we are all doing very well thank goodness. Certainly we miss all our family and friends, but we are really enjoying our time too. Next weekend we plan to head to Michigan to visit with Paul's family and Nana and Papa at the cottage on the lake. Can't wait to see everyone there! Always on the go!

Here are two additional quick videos from our roadtrip that I thought were worth sharing. Enjoy them too.

You are so great at documenting everything--what fun memories! :o) I really enjoyed watching all the videos--Sebastian is such a cutie pie! I love how he said bye during the Matteo video. And the fussy travelers bit--I can't imagine how tough that must've been. I'm sure we'll have our turn soon enough. ;o) Good luck with the rest of the unpacking!

Thanks Rosie and Julie. I live with a camera in my hands most of the time. =) We've realized our video camera gets little use now that there are two kids because there are not enough hands for both, so I am trying to focus on taking more little video clips of them. I figure it's probably more fun to watch anyways that long long home videos in the future. We shall see!
