On the Friday after Thanksgiving, while everyone is out shopping, we have a family day. We shop for our tree and start preparing our home and ourselves for Advent, our time of waiting for Jesus! We made it early enough to the tree lot to buy a bargin $20 tree, so I guess we even did get to take advantage of those Black Friday deals!
Luca’s first Christmas Tree!
Our little Elf was happy trying to eat the mulch and stray tree branches.
Tree is ready to go!
Unpacking the ornaments and getting everything ready to hang on the try was…very challenging this year. The kids just wanted to tear into everything and throw it on the tree. We had fun with the music playing and the mess, but I think next year I will try to get everything set up ahead of time. =)
Star time! Each kid has to have a turn.
Setting up the train was a big hit. They all sat so quietly and took turns so nicely for almost 30 minutes!
Even Luca was enthralled with it!
My little elf. We are having fun preparing for Christmas! We have lots of Advent activities we are working on this year too! More on that in another post!
