Vacation and Weddings in Michigan

This post is going to have a TON of pictures.  Don’t worry if you don’t want to see them all!  I tried to group them into sections, but decided not to do multiple posts since I’m already always so behind!!!

We had quite the entourage since we were traveling with Corey, Sarah, Darlene, Kim and Tyler.  What a group!  Papa was already up in Michigan waiting to receive us.  Luca played for a while with Uncle Corey and Aunt Sarah.

Teo snuggled with Daddy.  Sebastian played a lot of Go Fish with Nana.

While we waited for Paul to come around with the rental van, the kids had some fun in their car seats.  Hey – they were strapped in and happy – I couldn’t complain!

Sebastian was very excited to see Papa and wear his hat.

Ahhhh…..love the cottage.

IMG_0605

Papa had quite the surprise waiting for the boys – a swing set!! It was love at first sight – they played out there non-stop the rest of the week.

Matteo headed straight for the water!!

Luca’s first trip to the beach.  =)

IMG_0661

It was really hot the first few days, so everyone wanted to go swimming!  They were ready!

IMG_0638

First we did some water balloons.  Paul filled up a whole bucket and they were all gone in about 10 seconds.  Now we know why they come in packs of 100.

Papa and Luca got caught up.

Matteo threw rocks into the lake for more than an hour.  He loved it.  It was very serious business.

A few seconds too late to get a picture of the great pool we were building for Matteo.  Poor kid got really upset when the waves reached him and washed it away…

Since there were so many of us in the small cottage, a friend of Uncle Ken’s family let us borrow the 5th wheel RV.  They parked it out front and that was our home for the week!  It worked out perfectly so we could still have our own space for naps and bedtime and the kids thought it was awesome!
